Capitalism vs.Communism vs. Today  Capitalism and Communism are very different from each other. These preferences of a type of government do not go together. One major difference between both styles of government is the “means of production”.  Communism is a totalitarian government. A totalitarian government is when the government has total control over the public and private lives of actions of the citizens of that state. Meaning that everything that you own, everything you do is controlled and owned by the government. If you live in a house, that house isn’t really yours, it’s owned by your government. Your house can be taken away from you without your control. Also in a communist government, no free enterprise is allowed. Free enterprise is the freedom for private businesses to operate for a profit without interference from the government. Wealth is distributed equally throughout the people.
